UAEGLP
Discover how we helped the UAE Government Leaders Programme rebuild its website around clear user journeys and a modern visual language that reflects national leadership.
The UAE Government Leaders Programme (GLP) is a national initiative that develops Emirati leaders for roles across government and key sectors. It delivers programmes for early career talent, emerging and mid level leaders, and senior decision makers, all built around the UAE Government Leadership Model and the country’s long term vision.
The existing site listed information but did not guide people. Programme details were outdated, navigation was fragmented, and visitors struggled to understand three simple points: who GLP serves, what each programme offers, and how to take action.
GLP wanted a complete revamp: a clearer structure, fresh content, and a design that feels worthy of a national leadership programme.
Lack of guidance and clarity
Outdated content & broken navigation
Unclear value and next steps
We defined the role of the website as the front door to the GLP ecosystem. The experience had to do two jobs well:
- Guide individuals toward the right programme and application path;
- Give government entities a confident view of GLP as a strategic partner for custom leadership initiatives.

Built a clean top navigation that mirrors how users think.

Used large, portrait photography of leaders on every main section so visitors always see people, not only diagrams.
Introduced a calm teal palette with soft gradients and rounded cards that signal stability and progress without looking corporate or cold.

Created programme cards that summarise each track at a glance.
Added a simple referral module for “Recommend a leader” and a compact contact block so users can act without hunting for forms.
Designed every component with mobile layouts in mind, using stacked sections, large tap targets and readable type on smaller screens.

The interface uses repeating geometric motifs inspired by the leadership model. These shapes anchor the pages visually and help connect photography, stats and copy into one system.
GLP operates inside a government technology environment with clear standards. We aligned the build with those requirements:
- Next.js front end with a Node.js back end, deployed as containers on Kubernetes, in line with the Ministry’s architecture preferences;
- Email notifications routed through government mail servers rather than third party tools;
- SSO readiness for internal routes using OpenID or SAML, keeping a clean separation between the public website and the Qiyadat platform.
