PACKAGING DESIGN

We design the packs your products are sold in, from concept direction and structure to the graphic system, the words on the pack, the mockups you approve and the files your printer runs.

THE BRAND IN THE CUSTOMER'S HAND

Packaging is the only point in the brand experience where the customer physically holds the product, and the design has to do three jobs at once. It announces the brand on the shelf, communicates what is inside, and survives the trip from factory to home without losing its shape or its message.

That means packaging design works under more constraints than any other piece of brand work. The graphics have to fit the die, the structure the budget and the materials your supply chain, and the whole thing still has to read unmistakably as your brand.

Why it matters

ON THE SHELF, PACKAGINGIS THE BRAND

Most retail decisions happen in seconds, with the customer comparing two or three packages and picking the one they understand the fastest. Good packaging makes sure the brand wins that comparison.

OUR PACKAGING DESIGN
PROCESS

01

STRATEGY AND DIRECTION

We start with the product, the audience, the shelf context and the structural constraints. The brief defines what the packaging has to achieve commercially before any design work begins.

02

DESIGN AND PROTOTYPE

From there we work through structure, graphics and the words on the pack until the design does its job in mockup form. We iterate on real shelf scenarios so the packaging holds up next to the products it has to compete with.

03

PRODUCTION-READY HANDOVER

Once the design is signed off, we hand over the print-ready files, including dielines, colour specifications and the documentation the printer needs to ship the product cleanly. We stay involved through the first print run when the team needs us on press checks.

WHY PACKAGING DESIGN MATTERS

WINS THE SHELF COMPARISON BECAUSE STRONG PACKAGING REGISTERS FASTER THAN THE PRODUCTS AROUND IT

BUILDS PREMIUM POSITIONING SINCE WELL-DESIGNED PACKAGING SIGNALS A SERIOUS BRAND

MAKES UNBOXING A BRAND MOMENT INSTEAD OF WASTE THE CUSTOMER THROWS AWAY

EARNS ATTENTION WITHOUT AD SPEND BECAUSE CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY PICK IT UP

HOLDS THE BRAND TOGETHER ACROSS THE PRODUCT RANGE AS NEW SKUS AND VARIANTS GET ADDED

WHY CHOOSE
HUMAN SAUCER

Every packaging project starts with the brand strategy, ensuring the pack feels like part of the wider brand system.

Production-ready

Designed to print and fold cleanly, with production realities built in from the start.

Built for the full range

We build a scalable visual system that keeps every SKU consistent without redesigning each pack from scratch.

Through to the press run

We stay involved through press checks and launch, making sure the final packaging matches what was approved on screen.

FAQ

Graphic design is one part of packaging design. The full work also covers structural design, material decisions, dielines and the production-ready files the printer needs. Packaging is design under physical constraints that flat graphics never have to deal with.

Most projects run 4 to 6 weeks for a single pack, including strategy, structural and graphic design, mockups and production-ready files. Range work or product line systems run longer depending on the number of SKUs.

Yes. We hand over print-ready files with dielines and colour specifications, and we stay involved through press checks and the first print run when the team needs us in the conversation with the printer.

We make material recommendations based on what the brand and the product call for. The sourcing and supplier conversations sit with you and your manufacturer, and we advise whenever a material choice changes how the design comes out.
