WEBSITE DESIGN

Most audiences make up their mind about a brand within seconds of opening its homepage. That first impression rests on strategy, information architecture, wireframes, visual design, prototyping and the design system your developers build from.

DESIGN THAT EARNS ITS KEEP

A beautiful website that does not deliver on the business goal is wasted budget. The site has to earn the outcome it was built for, whether that is a booked meeting, a sale, an enquiry or the category authority a serious business is expected to project.

Most websites also have to perform across devices the design team rarely tests on. A site that holds up on a 27-inch desktop monitor and falls apart on a 6-inch screen is leaving most of its traffic frustrated.

Why it matters

THE WEBSITE IS THE BRANDON DISPLAY

Every other channel sends traffic somewhere, and that somewhere is usually the website. A site that converts repays every campaign pointing to it, while one that does not wastes the budget those campaigns spent.

WEBSITE DESIGN SERVICES

Every website design project we run covers these elements, scoped to the size of the site, the conversion goal and the team building it on the other side. WEBSITE STRATEGY AND INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

OUR WEBSITE DESIGN
PROCESS

01

DISCOVERY AND ARCHITECTURE

We start with a strategy session covering the audience, the conversion goal, the competitor set and the content the site has to carry. If there is an existing site we audit it using GA4 and a structured user-flow review, then build the information architecture the design will follow.

02

WIREFRAMES AND DESIGN DIRECTION

From there we work through low-fidelity wireframes, the design system and the visual direction, with every page designed from scratch for the specific role it plays in the user journey.

03

HIGH-FIDELITY DESIGN AND HANDOFF

The final stage is high-fidelity design across desktop, tablet and mobile, full prototyping in Figma and the developer handoff with specs and component documentation. We stay involved during build and after launch to set up post-launch tracking through Hotjar and GA4 once the site goes live.

WHY WEBSITE DESIGN MATTERS

EARNS THE NEXT CLICK BY CAPTURING ATTENTION IN THE FIRST FEW SECONDS

IMPROVES CONVERSION BY MAKING DESIGN DECISIONS BASED ON DATA, NOT OPINION

BUILDS CATEGORY AUTHORITY THROUGH A WEBSITE THAT SIGNALS QUALITY FROM THE FIRST IMPRESSION

CUTS LONG-TERM COSTS BY MAKING FUTURE PAGES FASTER TO BUILD FROM REUSABLE COMPONENTS

PERFORMS ACROSS MOBILE WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE EXPERIENCE

WHY CHOOSE
HUMAN SAUCER

Strategic foundation

Every website starts with a clear strategy built around audience, conversion goals, and competitive context.

Data-driven design

Design decisions are guided by user behaviour and conversion data, so every section has a clear purpose.

Design system included

Every website comes with a design system, making future pages faster and easier to build consistently.

Clear developer handoff

Designs include prototypes, specs, and interaction states so developers can build directly from Figma.

FAQ

Design is the visual and structural work, covering strategy, architecture, wireframes, visual design and the design system. Development is the engineering that turns those designs into a live, working site. We do both, and they can be scoped together or run in parallel with separate teams.

We do both. Some clients bring their own development team and need only the design work, in which case we hand over a Figma file with full component specs and documentation. Others want a single team end to end, in which case our development team picks up where the design work stops.

Most websites take 6 to 10 weeks for design alone, depending on the page count, the design system depth and the responsive breakpoints. Larger projects with multiple page types, animations and complex flows can take 12 to 16 weeks. We share a clear scope and timeline upfront.

Every design ships with desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoints, with the layout rules documented so the developer knows exactly how each section reflows. We design mobile alongside desktop, since mobile is usually where the majority of the audience opens the site.

Yes. We hand over a design system in Figma. It covers all user journey screens, micro-interactions as well as a comprehensive usage guide for the development team.

Yes. We design against WCAG 2.2 AA standards, covering colour rules, focus states, keyboard navigation, screen reader hierarchy and motion preferences.
